There's Nothing Normal About a Headache

Young woman pinching between her eyes in pain. For many people, headaches are a common occurrence. They might pop up occasionally after a long day or a stressful event.

But what if your headaches are becoming more frequent or severe? What if they're starting to interfere with your daily life?

It's important to remember that there's nothing normal about a headache.

Headaches can be a sign of an underlying health condition, and it's important to get them checked out by a doctor or dentist.

What Causes Headaches?

There are many different things that can cause headaches. Some of the most common causes include:

•  Stress: This is a major trigger for many people. When you're stressed, your muscles tense up, and this can lead to pain in your head and neck.

•  Dehydration: When you don't drink enough fluids, your brain can become dehydrated, which can lead to headaches.

•  Poor diet: Eating unhealthy foods or skipping meals can also trigger headaches.

•  Lack of sleep: When you don't get enough sleep, your body doesn't have a chance to rest and repair itself, which can lead to headaches.

•  Eye strain: Spending too much time looking at screens or reading in dim light can strain your eyes and cause headaches.

•  Underlying health conditions: Some people have headaches as a symptom of an underlying health condition, such as sinus infections, allergies, or high blood pressure.
